I stopped the driver and he confirmed that Google are now taking photos throughout Portugal to set up Google Streeview on Google Maps. He was no aware of how long it will take to go live on-line.

Interesting article (in portuguese) on the perambulations of the Google Streetview Red Opel Corsa around Portugal...Watch the video..Its one of the best I've seen of images of daily life throughout Portugal!
